There will be three additional public meetings on Oahu during the second week of August. Meeting dates and locations will be announced.

The CAC was formed through an application process. CAC members were appointed by the DOT and represent a wide range of interests, communities, view points, and backgrounds. CAC members are important liaisons to their communities as they provide a communication link between the project and community interests. The CAC will provide recommendations to HDOT at key milestones. The CAC members are listed here.

The public is welcome to attend the Citizen Advisory Committee meetings and provide comments at designated times, but are asked to be courteous and respectful of the committee process as CAC members have a lot to accomplish.

The project team will meet with neighborhood and interest groups throughout the project to share information and invite participation. The team will also provide press releases to neighborhood and interest groups before key public meetings for their use in newsletters and email newsletters. Neighborhood and interest groups are important ways to reach out to community members and encourage participation in project events.

An online survey will be conducted as the project progresses. Stay tuned for more.

Your participation will help the project management team to develop a sense of community values relating to walking and the pedestrian environment. The survey findings will also be shared with other project stakeholder groups who will provide recommendations to HDOT.
